1. Climate Change Deniers - (Asshole-Online
since 02/13/2010) - Why do so many neoConservatives deny that man has
any effect on our climate? I'd venture to say that most believe it.
The neoCon movement tells it's legions that they are free thinkers,
while rewarding those who offer nothing but the neoCon mantra of
"mega-dittos". It's just sad that they revel in group thought.
The fact that a great majority of scientists, especially those who
do not receive money from insdustries, believe that the over six
billion people on this earth can collectively do things that change the
climate. Many scientists who dispute that man has any effect on climate
change happen to receive money from businesses that might have greater
profits with less oversight on their pollution-causing activities.
The excuses and misdirection that they offer up to dispute climate
change is both frantic and rings as hollow as an empty soda can. At
least the can is worth five cents in most states.

2. Government Haters
- (Asshole-Online since 02/14/2010) - I do not understand those that
hate government. Why would anyone vote someone into office that does
not see the positive impact that government can have? OK, you get
aboard an airplane. The captain says "Hi, there. This is your captain.
I just want to let you know that I do not particularly like airplanes
or air travel. But thanks for flying with us." I prefer to place people
in positions where they feel they are a positive force in other
peoples' lives, not the ontrary.
Of course, government is not perfect. It is slow to respond, and can be
corrupted. It can act on the populace with too wide of a swath. But at
least the goal of government is to do what is best for the benefit of
all of its citizens. Where as the goal of businesses is to increase
profits and shareholder value as much as possible this quarter. Who
would you rather have in your corner, Enron, Bank of America,
Exxon/Mobil or the US government?
Using the term "big government" rather than just government really is
no distinction. If you hate government so much, then please do us all a
favor. Move to an island, pay no taxes, get no governemnt services, and
enjoy your lack of government control. And please never return.
